On Episode 132 of Conversation Street, we discuss all the happenings on the cobbles between the the 12th and the 16th January in the UK. Hot on the heels of our very own Top Lass award, Carla's talents are recognised yet again this week, but can she be convinced to pick up her prize? Meanwhile, Tracy is forced to take drastic action when Barlow's Buys is broken into, and Gail's dithering over Michael's proposal leads to a broken heart - though that's nothing compared to what the surgeons have in store for it... Much of The Kabin segment is taken up with discussing Ken Morley's ejection from the Celebrity Big Brother house, then we hear some listeners' thoughts about the Tinker-Sutherland wedding in the feedback section. There are spooky goings on this week on the cobbles, as Amy manages to convince Norris that she's been communing with the ghosts of Nana Blanche. Meanwhile, Steve struggles to get his spirits up for the New Year celebrations, and David and Eva try to get Kylie back by searching her old haunts. In the Kabin, we count down the top ten most featured Corrie characters of 2014, and we round off the show with a bit of festive feedback.

Unless you're Kylie that is, as Callum shows up on the doorstep, determined to reveal all to David. Meanwhile, Roy is driven batty - quite literally - by an intruder in the café, and a depressed Steve does his best to muster up the festive cheer in time for a big Christmas Day party in the Rovers. Conversation Street Episode 127

On the podcast this week, we chat about the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 14th and the 19th December in the UK. It's cold on the cobbles at this time of year, causing people to jump into bed with each other left right and centre: First Nick beds new arrival, cougar Erika (though we're starting to wonder whether she just hasn't discovered yet that he's not as old as he looks!) then Tracy seduces Tony at the end of the week - we suspect there could be blackmail on the cards, but from who? Meanwhile, there's a close shave at the salon when Callum turns up for a trim from David, and it's the end of the line for Gary and Alya. In the Kabin we talk about some new writers that have been hired at Corrie (slow news week - sorry!) and then the debate about Diane continues in the feedback section. With the Nazirs moving into #6 this week, our character profile focuses on one of its original residents, Des Barnes.

The end of 2014 is nearly here, which means the return of the Conversation Street Awards! Conversation Street Episode 126
