Conversation Street Episode 41

On this week's Conversation Street, we talk about the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 6th and the 10th May. The hunt for a beige wedding dress is on, as Stella finally accepts Karl's marriage proposal, whilst a letter from the past rakes up bad memories for Sylvia and Roy. Speaking of raking up the past, it seems that writers have suddenly remembered that David suffers from epilepsy, which rears its head during an unfortunate trip to the duck pond. In the news section, we pass on our best wishes to the poorly Liz Dawn, and the best of luck to Helen Flanagan, who's going to need it if she pursues her latest dream.. In the classic character profile section, we celebrate Rovers royalty, and talk about the one and only Annie Walker.

Conversation Street Episode 40

On this week's Conversation Street, we chat about the episodes broadcast in the UK between the 29th April and the 3rd May. Apart from the continuing drama between Peter and Rob (the bookie and the rookie, as we're calling them), it's all change for the other main storylines this week. While Dev, Faye and Chesnsey take a bit of a break, we catch up with the latest developments between Karl and Stella, and Paul and Eileen. We also celebrate the return of the Platts (even if the Who's The Daddy? storyline is unfortunately far from over) and finally get an explanation as to why we won't be seeing Kevin for a while. In the news section, it's been a good week for Helen Flanagan... less so for Bill Roache. Our character profile this week is the man of many faces (and ages!) Peter Barlow.

On this week's podcast, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 22nd and the 26th April (although somehow we manage to start the show saying it's August!). Peter and Carla are in the foreground this week, as they struggle to save the ailing bookies. Meanwhile, all bets are off regarding Gary's true intentions towards Tina, as he does his best to scupper any chance of a reunion between her and Tommy. In the classic character profile section, we take a look at Toyah Battersby, who went from neighbour from Hell to eco-warrior to barmaid, and even enjoyed a brief spell as a post-modern artist! Finally, we weigh up Corrie's chances in this year's British Soap Awards, before looking through this week's feedback.

On this week's show, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 15th and the 19th April. It seems like children are causing a lot of problems in this week's episodes: Anna has to fight to stop Faye from visiting Tim (although many people would say to let the little brat go for good!), Dev struggles to look after the twins and starts his search for a nanny, whilst an unborn baby may be bringing two Street residents into a forbidden relationship... In the news section we talk about some pictures that have appeared online and caused a bit of a stir this week, and our character profile is of overprotective father Owen Armstrong.

This week on Conversation Street, we chat about the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 8th and the 12th April. This week, Coronation Street tackles some of the big questions in life, such as 'Is there such place as heaven?' 'Is it okay for your coffin to be carried by the man that murdered you?' and 'Is it still an ocean pie if it only contains haddock?' Speaking of which, there's something very fishy about the way Karl's acting at the funeral - how much longer can he and Stella keep their rekindled relationship a secret? We also discuss who is the most unreasonable one out of Paul and Eileen, and ponder whether or not Tim can be trusted. We've got one of our favourite classic character profiles this week - after all this talk of funerals, who else could we pick but professional mourner (and moaner!) Blanche Hunt. Warning: Contains long list of hilarious quotes!

Conversation Street Episode 36

In our latest podcast, we chat about the Corrie episodes broadcast in the UK between the 1st and 5th April. There's been a heck of a lot of misery on the Street this week, what with Sunita's death, Paul still moping over Toni, Jason and Stella drifting apart and Ches Misérables getting in the way of Fiz and Tyrone moving in together. Time for Sylvia to knock up a jumbo-sized batch of special brownies, perhaps? In the character profile section, we look back at Kirsty's short but memorable time on the Street and ponder if we'll ever see her return. News has been a bit slow again this week, but at least there's still the possibility of Ken Barlow's bum appearing on Twitter to keep us talking!

Conversation Street Episode 35

In this week's podcast, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 25th and 29th March. It's a big week for Tyrone and Kirsty, as the domestic abuse storyline reaches its dramatic conclusion. What did we make of Kirsty's shock confession? Tune in to find out.. Meanwhile, Karl's doing his best to cover his tracks after the fire at the pub, Chesney is still moping around following his split from Katy, and a revelation about the One O'Clock Club makes us see Sylvia (and by extension, Blanche) in a whole new light... In our character profile section, we take a look at a classic baddie, who met his comeuppance after being involved in another big domestic abuse storyline: Charlie Stubbs.

Conversation Street Episode 34

On this week's podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 18th and the 24th March. Of course, this week's burning topic is the Rovers fire. We've known it was coming for ages, but does it live up to our expectations? We like how the storyline has affected so many people on the Street (apart from Aadi, who can't even be bothered to make his mum a Get Well Soon card), and it certainly seems to have driven a wedge between both Stella and Jason, and Eileen and Paul. Sunita Alahan, of course, is our character profile of the week; we discuss her fall from grace from loveable girl-next-door to evil temptress, and realise that this isn't the first time that she's been in a spot of bother with fire. As usual, we have some listener feedback to attend to at the end of the episode, and find out what's been happening this week in the increasingly crazy life of Bill Roache.

As Chesney's busy picking the perfect moment to propose to his wandering girlfriend Katy, Dev's torn over whether he should give it another go with Sunita. To mark the election of a new Pope this week, our classic character profile is surely Corrie's most memorable Catholic, 'Poison' Ivy Brennan.
