Sunday Jun 15, 2014
It's our 100th episode of the podcast, and to celebrate, we've got a couple of segments featuring some of our listeners as special guests! First off in the Street Talk section, in which we talk about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 9th and 13th June, we're joined by Rob and Jules. We have a great chat about Owen's return to the Street, the appearance of Tina's mum, and Sally and Tim's hilarious unproposal in the Rovers. Up next, we host a Coronation Street quiz, in which listeners Mark, Regan and Stephen go head to head in an attempt to answer questions posed by all-round Corrie expert Tvor. Finally, we round off the podcast discussing the recent Gail and Me documentary in the Kabin section, before ending with some of your lovely feedback. We'd also like to give a big thank you to our talented listener Jo, who drew the awesome artwork we're using for this week's episode.

On our final double-digit podcast, we chat about the Corrie episodes broadcast between the 1st and the 6th June in the UK. What's black and blue, and orange all over? It's Tina of course, who sadly passes away this week following her run in with Rob, a balcony and a piece of metal piping. As the residents of Coronation Street are left stunned by the news, things go from bad to worse from Carla, who suffers a miscarriage brought on by the stress. Meanwhile, Gail comes face to face with the man who tried to burgle her house, and Sally is faced with the prospect of an unexpected proposal. In the Kabin, we chat about this week's Farewell Tina documentary, whilst in the feedback section, we wonder when Simon Barlow's going to be allowed to grow up. For the classic character profile, we trawl the depths of Lake Windemere and bring up Joe McIntyre.

On this week's podcast, we discuss the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 23rd and 29th May. Well, what a dramatic week that was! The murderer may not have been the person we expected (never mind, Tony, we're sure you'll get an interesting storyline one day..) but we still loved how the episodes panned out. Excellent acting all round, and a great twist too. In the Kabin segment, we celebrate Corrie's wins at the British Soap Awards, whilst we hear your opinions about this week's episodes in the feedback section. The character profile this week is on Weatherfield's latest murderer, Rob Donovan.

On this week's early edition of the podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 19th and 21st May. The truth about Mad Maria's scheme is out, and Fiz is on the war path, determined to make her pay. Peter and Tina, on the other hand, are still managing to keep their affair a secret, but with Rob sniffing around after his brother-in-law, how long will they be able to keep it under wraps? In the Kabin, we talk about the BAFTAs and Paula Lane's recent wedding (fans of Gemma's fashion segments will be happy!), whilst we share a listener email in defence of Sophie in the feedback section. With ITV's big publicity drive for next week's late night episodes, we spend the final segment of the show discussing our own theories of what we think will happen...

On Episode 96, we discuss the goings on in Weatherfield between the 12th and the 16th May. This week, Carla needs Peter more than ever as it's time for her first scan, but can he be trusted to make it to the hospital in time? Meanwhile, as Marcus gives into the temptation of Todd, his former flame Maria steps up her game plan to steal Tyrone away from Fiz. In the Kabin this week, we learn that Michelle Keegan is turning her hand to fashion design, and in the feedback section, we hear about your favourite and least favourite Corrie accents. Instead of a character profile, we are joined again by the DownEast Streeters' Mark Grant, who lets us know all about Jimmi Harkishin's recent trip to Canada.

On this week's podcast, we discuss the episodes broadcast in the UK between the 5th and the 9th May in the UK. Shorts and T-shirt on everybody - it's time for the Weatherfield Fun Run! Unfortunately it doesn't turn out to be quite so fun for Lloyd, as he has a heart attack after passing the finishing line! He's not the only one with troubles of the heart either, although Peter and Dennis' are of a more romantic nature. Meanwhile, Anna braces herself for her own heart-to-heart with Owen... In the news section this week, we look forward to Julie Hesmondhalgh's first post-Corrie role, whilst we learn even more about Northen accents thanks to some helpful feedback. Speaking of feedback, this week we have rather a special email to read out, linked to our character profile focusing on fellow heart-attack sufferer, Derek Wilton.

Sunday May 04, 2014
On this week's podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 28th April and the 2nd May. There's trouble afoot as Steve and Lloyd prepare for Monday's fun run, but Steve gets more than he's bargained for when Kal dishes out his frustrations during a clandestine gym session. Maddie also has a secret on Friday, which she doesn't manage to hide for long, whereas Sinead just wishes she could keep herself under wraps. We talk BSA nominations in the Kabin, then discuss the finer points of the Lancashire accent in the feedback section. Our character profile this week is Steve McDonald.

Sunday Apr 27, 2014
On the latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 21st and the 25th April. Love is in the air this week, and we get to see not one, but two proposals on the Street. However, whilst we're all for the pairing of the nefarious Tracy and Rob, we won't be buying any confetti just yet for a commitment ceremony between Nick and Leanne. Meanwhile, Maria's plan to win the affections of Tyrone spirals out of control... In the Kabin section of the show, we chat about Sarah Lancashire's recent comments about the prejudices that soap actors face, before finishing off with a bit of feedback. Our classic character profile this week was inspired by Rob and Tracy's latest acquisition at the shop: Mrs Death-By-Hairdryer herself, Valerie Barlow.

Saturday Apr 19, 2014
On the latest edition of the podcast, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 14th and 18th April. It's Easter weekend, and we've realised that we didn't even mention it once on the show, so here are some terrible puns instead: Peter's left with egg on his face this week, as Carla discovers he's fallen off the wagon. As Tyrone and Fiz worry about bad egg Kirsty's release from prison, Maria's becoming egg-tremely paranoid. Meanwhile, despite losing the £40K he shelled out on the Mill, Owen's relieved to have eggs-ited his contract with Phelan. But we reckon he hasn't seen the last of him yet, as sure as eggs is eggs... In the news section, we discuss the unearthing of a rare piece of Corrie footage from over forty years ago, and we answer your questions about the Corrie tour in the feedback section. This week, we're also pleased to be joined by Coronation Street Blog editor Glenda Young for an interview, who speaks to us about her new book: A Perfect Duet.

Saturday Apr 12, 2014
On this week's second edition of the podcast, we're back with a regular show, discussing the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 7th and 11th April. We weren't only the only ones walking the streets of Manchester this week - Maddie and Sophie have moved out of number 4 and now they're living rough, but can Sophie really hack it? Over at the Mill, both Owen and Gary are beginning to crack, but it's Anna who is forced to take the most desperate measures in an attempt to put a stop to the evil Phelan. Meanwhile, Andrea's showing herself to be even more of a maneater, but it's a manbeater that Tyrone's more worried about, as he receives some very unsettling news... There's no character profile this week, but in The Kabin, Michael shares his thoughts on the soon to be released 'A Perfect Duet' by Glenda Young, and fashion critic Gemma casts her eye over Debbie Rush's celebrity wedding guests. Next week, we'll be answering your questions about Coronation Street The Tour, so if there's anything you want to know, be sure to write in!
