This week on the podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 22nd and the 26th December. It's Christmas Time... there's no need to be afraid... Unless you're Kylie that is, as Callum shows up on the doorstep, determined to reveal all to David. Meanwhile, Roy is driven batty - quite literally - by an intruder in the café, and a depressed Steve does his best to muster up the festive cheer in time for a big Christmas Day party in the Rovers. Just a short episode of the podcast this time, but we're busy getting things ready for the special Conversation Street Awards 2014 episode, so look out for that soon!

On the podcast this week, we chat about the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 14th and the 19th December in the UK. It's cold on the cobbles at this time of year, causing people to jump into bed with each other left right and centre: First Nick beds new arrival, cougar Erika (though we're starting to wonder whether she just hasn't discovered yet that he's not as old as he looks!) then Tracy seduces Tony at the end of the week - we suspect there could be blackmail on the cards, but from who? Meanwhile, there's a close shave at the salon when Callum turns up for a trim from David, and it's the end of the line for Gary and Alya. In the Kabin we talk about some new writers that have been hired at Corrie (slow news week - sorry!) and then the debate about Diane continues in the feedback section. With the Nazirs moving into #6 this week, our character profile focuses on one of its original residents, Des Barnes.

On this week's podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 7th and the 12th December in the UK. Say cheese! It's the family photo day at the Community Centre and everyone's got together with their loved ones for a portrait, but it's no smiling matter for Zeedan or Kylie, both of whom go AWOL during the event. Elsewhere in the episode, we ponder whether Gary will convert to Islam for Alya, and take a critical view of how David's been treating Kylie recently. In the Kabin, we share our thoughts on the recently released 'What Would Kirk Do?' webisodes, and hear about an American listener's issue with Diane in the feedback section. Also in this episode, we share the nominations for the Conversation Street Awards 2014, so don't forget to vote!

The main feature of the podcast this week, though, is our audio diary of our trip up north. Hear our report on a fascinating trip around town with New Manchester Walks, followed by a visit back to the old set to experience Christmas on the Cobbles.

With his elusive package finally revealed as being an old telescope, Norris gets all starry-eyed this week, and even buys himself a tablet so he can use astronomy apps. Speaking of tablets, when Gavin discovers that Michael's on medication, he starts to worry that he may have inherited his heart condition... or does that concerned look on his face stem from something else entirely..? Meanwhile, Mary is thrilled to hear that Julie has a date with someone other than Dev, but how long will her happiness last? In The Kabin, we run down the Corrie related specials that will be airing this Christmas, and in the feedback section, a listener sends in some fancy dress tips. In the character profile segment, we take a look at the past fifty years of Street legend Emily Bishop.

Across the street, Michelle's having reading problems of her own - though for her it's closed book Steve that she's struggling to decipher. Meanwhile, Michael finally manages to track down his estranged son Gavin - but can he buck up the courage to meet him in person? In the Kabin, we're excited about the prospect of another live Corrie episode, and announce the results of our Corrie calendar competition. Our character profile this week is on Karen McDonald.

Meanwhile, Cilla takes a fall, but can Chesney rise to the challenge of forgiving her? Speaking of challenging times, Michelle's finding Steve's strange behaviour more and more difficult to deal with, whilst Tim discovers that this whole learning to read malarkey isn't quite as easy as he was expecting. In the Kabin, we talk about Craig Charles' chances in the new series of I'm A Celebrity, plus there's more Corrie tour related news, then we round of the podcast with a bit more feedback. The character profile this week is on Beth Tinker.

Saturday Nov 08, 2014
This week on the podcast, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 31st October and the 7th November. We may not have seen anyone going to a bonfire night party on the Street this week, but there are plenty of fireworks at the wedding of the year. Rob's jilted Tracy and bolted to Bolton, but can he trust her to keep his whereabouts a secret? From desperate criminal to just plain desperate, Izzy's eyes are on stalks when a hunky paramedic shows up at the community centre, but there could be a serious case of sibling rivalry ahead when Katy sweeps in and asks him out to dinner! Meanwhile, there are some 'comedy' scenes between NOT BOYFRIEND AND GIRLFRIEND Maria and Luke, and Todd gets what some might say he's had coming to him whilst on a trip into town... There's no character profile or news this week, but we still have a bit of feedback to talk through, plus the launch of a competition to win a 2015 Corrie calendar!

Everyone's gearing themselves up for the Barlow-Donovan wedding this week, but even before Tracy can take Rob up the ailse, it's Carla who makes an honest man of him, finally getting him to 'fess up to Tina's grisly murder. Meanwhile, Michael and Gemma both end up in hospital (the characters, that is, not us!) and Yasmeen opens the doors to the Jamila House Community Centre - once the books are all in Dewey decimal order, of course! There's more good news about the Coronation Street tour - including a potential job opportunity - to discuss in The Kabin, whilst in the feedback section, there are some differences of opinion from our listeners about Yasmeen and Cilla. Our classic character profile this week is on ex-Community Centre caretaker, Percy Sugden.

Friday Oct 24, 2014
On this week's early edition of the podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 20th and the 22nd October. Peter's fate has finally been decided. ITV did an excellent job at keeping the outcome a secret, but what did we make of the jury's decision? Meanwhile, as Liz and Steve cut Jim out of their lives forever, Fiz and Chesney are forced to welcome a face from the past back into theirs. In the Kabin, there's some great news about the old set tour, then in the feedback section, we discuss how Corrie will cope without Deirdre. Our character profile this week is, of course, the brilliant Cilla Battersby-Brown, then stay 'til the end for a Kabin Extra, where we share our thoughts on even more returning characters, who'll be hitting the cobbles next year.
