In The Kabin, we take a look at the Corrie nominees for the Inside Soap and National Television Awards (vote Sally Ann Matthews!) and are joined for a quick chat by Charlie de Melo, who tells us about his evening at an auction bidding for a giant fibreglass Hilda Ogden bee this week. Conversation Street Episode 331

On our latest podcast, we chat about the big week of Corrie episodes broadcast in the UK between the 8th and the 12th October. There were high expectations for this set of episodes, what with a couple of weddings, big secrets revealed and a deadly car crash all teased, but did it live up to the hype? On the whole, we'd say a resounding yes! Sure, Daniel and Sinead's 'not really a real wedding' ceremony could have been better, but we loved the action at Steve and Tracy's nuptials, the drama of Liz discovering the truth about Jim and Hannah and surprise twists of who got hurt - and how! - after the car chase. (Sure, Michelle lived to nag another day, but you can't have everything, right?) All that, plus another superb performance from Sally Ann Matthews as the reality of Johnny's infidelity began to dawn on Jenny, all made for a pretty great week! After Street Talk, we've got a classic character profile on Daryll Morton following actor Jonny Dixon's appearance on Doctor Who last week. To be honest, there's not much to say about Daryll, but it did give us a chance to try and figure out where it all went wrong with the Morton family, and wonder if there really is some kind of curse on anyone who moves into number 6.. There are a couple of small news bites to cover in the Kabin next, then we finish the episode off with a bit of a bumper feedback section.

This week, Steve gets caught in a compromising situation with local good-time girl Leanne, following a misunderstanding with Tracy. Fortunately, though, another source of income comes up just at the right moment.. Meanwhile, evil Josh has got Billy in his sights (and it's not even insensitive to say that anymore since he's apparently getting his vision back now), and as the Connors get themselves involved in a dangerous coverup, another deception gets exposed as Hope and Ruby discover the truth about Santa. After Street Talk, we have a character profile on one of our personal favourite characters of the moment, Billy Mayhew, taking a look back at his ups and downs over the past four years on the show. Ever since the rumours of Jim returning to the show with a grown-up dead baby Katie in tow first hit the Internet, many Corrie fans have been insensed about the prospect of such a grubby rewriting of one of the McDonalds' finest early moments. This week, we finally got to see it begin to play out on screen, and despite it turning out to be more of a con than a retcon, it seems that for many viewers, the story's still not exactly going down well. This episode, we weigh in with our thoughts on this, as well as our impressions of Evelyn Plummer, the Battersbeeb love triangle, Ryan and Ali's jolly caperings, and the downright bizarre football app story. After Street Talk, we have the first part of our Kate Oates retrospective, where we focus on what we see as the positive aspects of her tenure as producer. From our favourite characters and storylines to her hallmarks such as keeping certain big twists hidden before broadcast, we reminise about everything great about Kate. In The Kabin, we celebrate Ryan Thomas winning Celebrity Big Brother and Corrie's victory at the TV Choice Awards, then we round off the show with some feedback.

Yeah... not the best set of episodes this week, really! Never mind, though because after Street Talk, we've got an interview with one of our favourite recent additions to the Corrie cast - George Banks! Could Henry and Gemma have worked as a couple?
