For this week's bonus podcast, we chat with Corrie actress Cherylee Houston about her current storyline, which sees Izzy dealing with the challenges of juggling working for the factory whilst shielding at home. Cherylee talks about what it's been like to be stuck indoors for so long during the pandemic, how she and her partner Toby filmed Izzy's scenes from their own home, and reflects on some of her highlights from over a decade on the cobbles.

Things are really hotting up in the Fiz and Tyrone story this week as everyone's favourite pint-sized pyro Hope sets fire to Alina's flat, which has devastating consequences. Meanwhile, the flames of passion are burning for Aadi as he tries his best to initiate a bit of Summer loving, Izzy confesses that juggling Jake and her factory work whilst shielding has left her feeling burnt out, and Nina's all fired up about her latest idea to memorialise Seb.

After Street Talk, we head straight over to the feedback section, then we finish off with our reactions to a few bits of recent spoilery cast news in a Kabin Extra segment.

For this week's bonus podcast, it's time for another listener question segment! First up, we take Jon's suggestion about who we'd like to star in a Corrie two-hander. Compared to EastEnders, Corrie has barely ever tackled the two-hander format, so there's plenty of scope for ideas here - and we thinks we've come up with quite a few nice ones, even if we do say so ourselves! Next up, a question from Gentledreamsedits about Corrie parents: who are the show's worst, and who are its best? Now, not being parents ourselves, that naturally gives us full rights to rain down fiery judgement on anyone who's tried to raise a child on the Street. Who gets our seal of approval? For this week's podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 26th and the 30th July.

There'd already been been a few hints this year that Coronation Street wanted to tackle a story about racism and unconscious bias, and this week, it got top billing as James and Michael are stopped when out test driving a flash sports car. We start the Street Talk segment by weighing in with our own thoughts on the issue, and how we feel Corrie's handled it so far. Also this week, the tide turns for Todd as Billy finally finds out the truth about how he manipulated his way back into the archdeacon's affections, Hope becomes increasingly jealous of Tyrone's interest in his unborn baby, and Kelly opens up about her traumatic childhood.

Next up, we head over to The Kabin to chat about a couple of recent reports in the tabloids, then we finish off the podcast with some feedback, including some of our listeners' reactions to this week's racism story.

In 2005, Vicky Binns joined the Street as Molly Compton, the dog loving baker's daughter who stirred up plenty of trouble for Fiz, who'd once bullied Molly at school. In this interview, we're joined by Vicky to reminisce about her time on the cobbles, including the notorious affair with Kevin and her explosive exit in the live episode for the 50th anniversary.

Our latest podcast covers the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 19th and the 23rd July (Episodes #10380 - 10385).

It's the week of the charity calendar shoot, and as the men of the street bear their bodies for the camera, Curtis bears his soul to his new love Emma, revealing his secret heart condition that could see him drop dead at any minute. In fact, there are romances blossoming all over the Street this week, with Grace finding herself attracted to Michael again, Fiz and Phill's obvious chemistry driving Tyrone into a jealous rage, and Leanne and Nick having some sweet scenes together after she realises that life with Sam's actually not so bad.

Though the lack of big news stories saw us give The Kabin a miss this week, we make up for it with a bit of a bumper feedback section, with one email in particular giving us plenty to muse over about the current state of Corrie, and what we might do to shake things up if we were in charge.

From the hilarious waterbed incident with Reg to the poignant scenes at the Normandy graves with cantankerous mother Maud, Maureen had plenty of memorable moments during her time on the cobbles, and in this episode, we chat over some of our favourites - and ponder whether a return to the Street for Maureen could ever become a reality..

On our latest podcast, we spill the beans on what we thought of the past week of Corrie, running from the 12th to the 16th July.

There was plenty of pump action in this week's Corrie, as Todd resorts to desperate measures to keep Will from blabbing to Summer about the extent of his nefariousness when it came to bagging Billy. Meanwhile, after last Friday's drunken revelries, Ryan wakes up in Daisy's bed in a state of undress - just how far did things go with her? And speaking of getting your kit off, is it just us who finds Curtis' apparent desire to photograph every bloke on the Street in their birthday suit more than a little odd, especially as he's only been on the scene for what seems like five minutes?

After Street Talk, we head to the Kabin, where we chat about the recent reports in the papers about Corrie apparently struggling to keep COVID under control, plus we check out what Helen Flanagan's been up to recently and share our thoughts on who absolutely should not win the best soap actor gong at the upcoming TRIC Awards.

Feature Discussion: 1995-1999

Welcome to our bonus podcast for the week! We've decided to give it a go spacing out our main and bonus episodes after it seemed to go down well splitting them up during the Euros. Although we can't guarantee which day the bonus podcast will be out each week because of our own schedules, it's likely to be either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for the time being, with the main Street Talk episode out every Saturday as usual. Let's see how it goes!

This podcast (which we actually recorded a couple of weeks ago, so sorry if any of the references aren't quite up to date!) we chat about the episodes we've been watching on our DVDs from between 1995 and 1999. This is the era that Corrie saw a big shift in tone as well as a bit of an overhaul of the cast. Out went the likes of Bet, Raquel, Derek and Percy, and in came the Battersbys, the Mallets and fan favourites Roy and Hayley. The late 90s also had Corrie hitting the headlines with the notorious Free The Weatherfield One story, tackled domestic violence in the McDonald household and saw Street residents gearing up for Millennium night. It was a time of big change for the show, but was it for the better? Let's find out...

Corrie's Royal Connections

For this week's bonus podcast, we thought we'd jump on the royal bandwagon following today's visit to the cobbles by the Queen.

After chatting about what went on during her tour of the Street, we take a look back at previous times that Corrie has been graced by royalty, including when the Queen opened the set on Quay Street in 1982 and when Prince Charles showed up to shake Audrey's hand in the 40th anniversary episode. As well as this, we chat about the time the show allegedly got a royal rap on the knuckles by mentioning Prince Philip's name on air, explain why Vera Duckworth was so convinced she had blue blood, and remember when Alf Roberts got his OBE at the palace - and why Audrey had to get down there to see it by hitch-hiking!
