Wednesday Jun 16, 2021
On our latest podcast, we share our thoughts on the episodes of Corrie released on the ITV Hub on Monday 14th June, and set for broadcast on the telly between the 14th and the 20th.
Like many of you, we've already binged this week's episodes online, so if you don't want things spoiled, you may want to wait until Sunday evening to find out our thoughts on the returning characters, the brushes with death, Ty's new purchase and some Father's Day hijinks...
After Street Talk, we take a look at some of the Corrie related news stories that have broken over the past few days in The Kabin, then we round things off with more of your listener feedback!

On this week's episode of the podcast, we prattle on about the goings on in Weatherfield between the 7th and the 11th June (Episodes #10344 - 10349).
This week, romance is in the air for Dev and his unlikely new conquest, Bernie. We must say, despite some initial reservations about the prospect of the two of them getting together, we did quite enjoy them sneaking around on Wednesday, and Bernie's face when she tiptoed down the stairs was a picture. Speaking of pictures, what about that photo of Tyrone and Alina, eh? Utterly cringeworthy, but a great opportunity for some funny scenes in the flat! Meanwhile, the Purple Bricks sign goes up at the Rovers after Johnny decides to sell up, Nina finds the grief of losing Seb too much to bear and turns to the bottle, and there's a special delivery for Peter.
Not a whole lot in the way of Corrie news this week, so we give The Kabin a swerve, but make up for it with a bumper feedback session, where we hear about your views on Corrie on the ITV Hub, Jenny and Johnny splitting up, and last week's infamous tasering scene.

Mavis Wilton Character Profile - Episode 474
Saturday Jun 12, 2021
Saturday Jun 12, 2021
In this week's bonus podcast, we're living the life of Riley as we take a look at the story of one of Corrie's most beloved characters from days gone by, dithery newsagent Mavis. Whether you thought she was at her best selling penny chews in the Kabin with Rita or at the side of her beloved husband Derek, we can all agree that Mavis had a tonne of memorable moments during her time on the cobbles. Take a listen for a discussion of some of our favourite Mavis stories, and if you "don't really know" very much about her, this is the perfect place to start!

On our latest podcast, we chat about the goings on in Weatherfield between the 31st May and the 4th June (Episodes #10339 - 10343).
So what went down on the cobbles this week, then? Well, Jenny for one, after an unexpected tasering courtesy of nasty Sharon, who used the opportunity to root around in Jenny's mobile to get some juicy evidence about her night romping with Ronnie. On a similar note, the back half of the week saw Asha drugging Corey so that she could find proof on his phone that he'd been the one behind the attack on Nina. Is justice for Seb in sight? Also this week, for some reason, we had some baffling filler scenes of Carla and Sarah taking back some stock of knickers that hadn't been paid for - but at least that led to a great confrontation with a few home truths on Friday.
Next up on the podcast, there's The Kabin, where we spend a good chunk of time sharing our concerns about the news that, during the Euros, Corrie will be dropping episodes early on the ITV Hub on Mondays. Then, once we've got that our chests, we hand over to our listeners and hear what you've got to say about recent events on the Street in the feedback section.

On our latest episode of the podcast, we waffle on about what went down in Weatherfield between the 24th and the 28th May in the UK (Episodes #10333 - 10338).
This week, both Nick and Leanne demonstrate a severe lack of understanding of the concept of a safe house when - independently of each other, no less - they sneak back to the Street in broad daylight in the wake of Sam's kidnapping. Satisfied that her villainous lurking has paid off, Sharon decides it's time to head off home, but unfortunately for her, Harvey has other ideas... Also this week, Evelyn takes a tumble at work, the Golden Girls disband, and soap coincidence strikes again when Steve recognises Emma's new fella as the guy who knocked him off his bike last week.
In The Kabin, we chat about the trailer for Colson Smith's new short film, and Gemma recounts her experience at last week's Corrie press interview with him. We finish off the podcast with more of your thoughts on the state of the show in the feedback section.

Corrie Behind Bars - Episode 472
Saturday May 29, 2021
Saturday May 29, 2021
With Faye and Harvey currently detained at her majesty's pleasure and Johnny freshly released, this week's bonus podcast focuses on the times when Corrie has gone behind bars. For such a small community, Coronation Street has had a fair few of its residents banged up over the years - from the miscarriages of justice like Deirdre's time inside in 1998 to the well deserved sentences like Tracy's somewhat short stay in the slammer when she murdered Charlie Stubbs. We chat about these stories and more, discussing our favourites, what makes a classic soap prison plot, and pondering which characters may well end up doing porridge in the years to come.

Saturday May 22, 2021
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie broadcast in the UK between the 18th and the 22nd May (Episodes #10327 - 10332).
Ooh, Michael was proper fewmin' at Corrie this week. Not since that time Dennis Tanner flounced off with Gloria Price has a scene made him as mad as he got when the powers that be decided to have Jenny roger the lodger on Monday, so if you like a good rant on the podcast, this episode could be right up your street! Then of course, you've got Sharon's attempts to message Simon on Aadi's knock-off games console that it looks like he got down Weatherfield market, Cathy's inexplicably long stay at number 6, Daisy being a massive cow-bag in both the Jenny and Sean stories... As one of Alina's Generation Z wall quotes would probably say: SMH.
But we still love Corrie, though, which is why we're very much excited at the prospect of the AirBnB competition that's running next week that will give one lucky pair the chance to spend the night in a specially built pop-up hotel on the cobbles, which we chat about in the news segment. And it's on Gemma's birthday, too... Just sayin', if any of the organisers are listening...
We round off the podcast, as always, with more of your lovely feedback.

Tanisha Gorey Interview - Conversation Street Episode 471
Saturday May 22, 2021
Saturday May 22, 2021
Tanisha Gorey has become one of Corrie's rising young stars over the past few years, bringing the previously minor character of Asha Alahan right into the spotlight thanks to some fantastic performances in stories revolving around issues including skin lightening, sexting and now Seb's murder. In this week's bonus podcast, we chat to Tanisha about what it was like growing up on Coronation Street, how she's found tackling some big storylines since 2019 and - because we were just desperate to know - what Jimmi Harkishin is like in real life! Also available on video over on our YouTube channel.

Saturday May 15, 2021
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 10th and the 15th May 2021 (Episodes #10321 - 10326).
In the aftermath of the attack on Seb and Nina, we're pleased to say Corrie managed to keep up the high bar set by last week's shocking episodes. Although we thought the reasons for the police believing Corey over Kelly were a bit iffy, the big question this week is exactly how much *was* young Miss Neelan involved in the incident - and even if she's telling the truth and didn't join in with the kicking, what consequences does she deserve? With more superb performances from the likes of Sally Carman, Millie Gibson and Mollie Gallagher this week, we were thoroughly gripped, and can't wait to see where Corrie's biggest story of the year goes next.
News-wise, there's a bit to report on Corrie's latest product placement deal this week, but as it meant veering too much into spoiler territory, we decided to save it for a Kabin Extra segment at the end, but not before hearing more of your thoughts on the hate crime story in the feedback section.

Tricia Armstrong Character Profile - Episode 470
Saturday May 15, 2021
Saturday May 15, 2021
For this week's bonus podcast, we're running a classic character profile on Tricia Armstrong. Actress Tracy Brabin has just this week been elected Mayor of West Yorkshire, so we thought we'd take the chance to chat about the character she played on Corrie in the mid-90s, having a look at how the struggles she went through on her three years on the show reflected many of the issues faced by single working mothers at the time.
