Listener Questions
Tuesday Feb 22, 2022
Tuesday Feb 22, 2022
This week's bonus podcast is another listener question segment! We start by answering a question from Amber, who wants to who our favourite Corrie pet has been over the years (admittedly, it was hard to argue for anyone other than Schmeichel, but plenty of other furry and feathered friends still manage to get themselves a shout out!), then after that, we tackle something from Alex, who wants to know how we'd write a leaving story for our most loved characters. A dignified back of the taxi exit? Jetting into the sunset with a new love? A heroic death, going down in a blaze of glory? We do our best to come up with some fitting finales for our favourites - and we also can't help but come up with a few ideas for getting rid of some of our least favourites too!

Conversation Street Episode 510
Saturday Feb 19, 2022
Saturday Feb 19, 2022
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 14th and the 18ht February (Episodes #10562 - 10567).
As the residents of Weatherfield celebrated Valentine's, we found there was a lot to love about this week's episodes. Take Amy and Jacob, for example - we're all for this pairing, and putting them front and centre of the action this week was a great move in our book. Also this week, we had the long-awaited reunion between Daisy and Daniel, grannies at war when Linda comes to stay and clashes with Bernie, and an unexpected proposal from Toyah. We're not convinced Imran's going to be taking her down the aisle any time soon thanks to the ticking time bomb that is his one night stand with Abi, but we're certainly looking forward to finding out how the big reveal all unfolds!
Next up on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where we take a very early look at the newly published Corrie novel, We'll Meet Again On Coronation Street, and we finish off the show with more of your listener feedback.

Corrie’s Most Iconic Couples
Tuesday Feb 15, 2022
Tuesday Feb 15, 2022
For this week's bonus podcast, we chat about Coronation Street's most perfect pairings over the years. Taking a journey from the 1960s right through to the present day, we chat about which couples best represent each decade, compare romance on the Street then and now, and try to figure out what it is that makes certain couples go down in Corrie history.

Saturday Feb 12, 2022
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 7th and the 11th February (Episodes #10556 - 10561).
This week, Sarah and her 'darling' Adam have a bit of a stressful time when his windscreen is smashed and their flat gets broken into. Is Jeremy 'Boundary Dispute' Bremner up to his old tricks, or should the Barlows be looking closer to home for the identity of their secret stalker? Also this week, as Amy turns 18, we find out who she's been secretly snogging, Daniel feels guilty about potentially getting Max expelled, and Laura's back on the scene with some shocking news for Our Kelly - but is she telling the truth about her tummy troubles?
Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, where we have a chat about some upcoming projects for Sally Ann Matthews and Lisa George, and discuss the news that Neighbours' days may be numbered and Hollyoaks is going online first - what could this mean for the future of soap?
After that, it's time for some more of your listener feedback, before finishing off the show with a bit of spoilery cast news in a Kabin Extra segment.

Callum Logan Character Profile
Tuesday Feb 08, 2022
Tuesday Feb 08, 2022
This week's bonus podcast is a character profile on Callum Logan. The newly recast Max has been getting into all sorts of bother recently on Corrie, so we thought it would be the perfect time to reminisce about his dearly departed drug dealing dad, who spent much of 2015 terrorising the Platts until meeting a sticky end at the hands of Kylie. All these years later, with only a small number of characters knowing who really bumped off Callum, this is one dark secret that could very well come to light at any moment...

Saturday Feb 05, 2022
Saturday Feb 05, 2022
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 31st January and the 2nd February (Episodes #10550 - 10555).
This week's Corrie seemed to be a competition between Daniel and Craig to find out who most deserves to be fired from their jobs for misconduct. On the one hand, you have the English teacher with a history of acting inappropriately around a girl in his class (albeit partly through his own naivety) now pushing another of his pupils down the stairs and lying about it to the police. On the other, you have Officer Tinker, already well known for spilling the beans about cases he's working on to all and sundry, now keeping his girlfriend's confession about her involvement in a man's death a secret, and tampering with evidence at the crime scene. Fire the pair of them, we say! Also this week, Asha's newfound passion for the giddy world of risk management takes her on a perilous trip north of the border (or at least it would have done if Nina hadn't been having a breakdown about the dangers of rail travel), Audrey and Rita seem to get confused about when the Queen's jubilee celebrations should be taking place, and Kelly continues her ascent to sainthood by helping Liam count to ten in French.
In The Kabin, we chat about Sally Dynevor's latest performance on Dancing on Ice and celebrate her getting her MBE from Princess Anne this week, then we round off the show with a couple of bits of listener feedback.

The Bobbins Awards 2021
Tuesday Feb 01, 2022
Tuesday Feb 01, 2022
We love Corrie, we really do, but even we can admit there are times when it gets things wrong. The Bobbins Awards are are annual celebration of all things awful in Weatherfield, be it characters who failed to make a good impression on us, moments that had us scratching our heads, or stories we just wish had got no further than the storyliners' brainstorming sessions. In this year's edition, we take a tongue in cheek look back at the very worst that Corrie had to offer in 2021. It's all in good fun, of course, so please do take it as such, and if you've got any dishonourable mentions of your own you'd like to mention, do write in to let us know!

Conversation Street Episode 507
Saturday Jan 29, 2022
Saturday Jan 29, 2022
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 24th and the 28th January 2022 (Episodes #10544 - 10549).
This week, Sally's bizarre decision to have a widdle in Victoria Gardens at New Year comes back to bite her in the bum when she's arrested during Tim's bypass operation. Is this the end of her political career? Meanwhile, the truth comes out about the lengths that Bernie has gone to in order to get some money for her family, Jenny's in for a shock when she meets Leo's dad, and things go from bad to worse for Faye and Emma when Craig finds out about their involvement in Ted's death. Will the notoriously loose lipped copper break a habit of a lifetime and actually be able to keep quiet about something for once?
Up next on the show, it's The Kabin, where we share our reactions to the news that Corrie is soon to be moving to three hour-long episodes a week. What will this mean for the show, and could the writing be on the wall for EastEnders now that it's going to be going head to head with the ITV soaps?
We round off the podcast with more of your listener feedback, including a discussion about the status - and believability - of Craig and Faye's relationship.

Kate Spencer Interview
Monday Jan 24, 2022
Monday Jan 24, 2022
For our bonus podcast this week, we were joined by the lovely Kate Spencer, who recently departed the cobbles after two years of playing mischievous Grace Vickers. Kate chats about what it was like to be a part of the Coronation Street team throughout the pandemic, keep the secret about Tiana's true parentage, and do her Corrie-loving mum proud! As well as this, we find out how the absolutely lovely Kate is worlds away from nasty nanny Grace, and what she likes to get up to when she's not on our tellies.

Michael's got COVID (again!) this week, so not only have we had to watch this week's Corrie in separate rooms of the house, we've also had to attempt a socially distanced recording, too! This week's show covers the episodes broadcast in the UK between the 17th and the 21st January (Episodes #10537 - 10542).
As much as our Craigy might think that uncovering the identity of his crutch's original owner is the most important thing going on in Weatherfield this week - nay, this year! - there's actually a few other items higher on the agenda for us. First off, the Winter-Browns in the red, and the extent that Bernie will go to in order to get some food on the table at No. 5 (and no, we're not talking about sticking her tongue down Dev's throat, either...) Meanwhile, Tim refuses to let Sally know about his upcoming op (despite viewers up and down the country yelling "Just tell her, Tim!" at their TVs all week), Zeedan's still in Yasmeen's bad books, and Mrs Crawshaw pledges to take action after Amy's protest - but is she just skirting the issue?
Up next on the podcast, we chat about Sally Dynevor's Dancing On Ice debut in The Kabin, and we round off the podcast with more of your feedback, including one listener's reflections on the current Gemma and Chesney story.
