Christine Hardman Character Profile
She may not have the name recognition as the likes of Annie Walker, Ena Sharples or Elsie Tanner, but for us, Christine Hardman is just as deserving of your attention as some of the more famous Corrie originals. First appearing in Episode 2 and staying on the show until mid-1963, Christine wasn't with with us long, but she still managed to get some memorable and actually quite dark stories under her belt in that time, including the famous scene when she was talked down off the factory roof by a young Ken Barlow. If she's an old favourite of yours too or maybe a character you don't really know much about, hopefully this will be an episode to enjoy!

In this week's podcast, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 18th and the 22nd March (Episodes #11,216 - 11,221).
This was another week where Roy's story got a heck of a lot of screen time, and that's certainly something we won't be complaining about as David Neilson continues to knock out of the park with his performance as the wrongly accused cafe owner. It doesn't feel like the reveal of where Lauren actually is is coming any time soon, but we're happy to be steeped in the mystery of it for now! Also this week, we've got the long-awaited return of the Paul story, and as his voice starts to deteriorate, we ponder whether Billy was right to keep it from him - and also whether now's the right time for Summer to be going to Boston! There's also a return to the cobbles for Violet, a delve into Cassie's past and another appearance from the mysterious Rowan - all in all, a pretty good week, we thought!
With the tabloids rumour mill churning out stories about the 'chaos at Corrie' that's been caused by ITV's inability to find someone to replace Iain Macleod as the show's next producer, we share our thoughts on the situation in The Kabin, then finish off the show with more of your feedback.

What's Happened To Lauren Bolton?
Wednesday Mar 20, 2024
Wednesday Mar 20, 2024
For this week's bonus podcast, we delve into the mystery that's currently got Weatherfield's tongues wagging - what's happened to Lauren? There've been so many clues drip fed to us about her disappearance and the possible identity of her presumed kidnappers (or murderers?), so we thought we'd get them all together in one place and see if it helps us get any closer to figuring out who the guilty party is. Who knows - maybe we'll even remind you of a few hints the show runners have dropped that you've forgotten about! And if you've got any other theories, do write in and let us know!

On our latest episode of the podcast, we discuss the goings on in Weatherfield between the 11th and the 15th March (Episodes #11,210 - 11,215).
This week, the lion's share of the screen time went to the 'Where's Lauren?' storyline - though this very quickly turned into 'Who Killed Lauren?', at least in DS Swain's eyes, when a police search of the precinct flat finds some compelling evidence that a violent, bloody confrontation has taken place there. We don't seriously think that prime suspects Roy and Daniel have actually got anything to hide here (and nor, we think, are we supposed to), but that didn't stop the whole affair leaving us on the edge of our seats, especially after some brilliant scenes in the interview room! Meanwhile, a new story for Leanne gets underway when she finds herself charmed by the enigmatic leader of Simon's so-called self-help group, who's giving off some seriously culty vibes. If Nirab and the Etheric Foundation don't get at least a shout out as this story progresses, we riot! Also this week, Stu considers letting Eliza go to Germany with Dom, Mason gets charged after his fingerprints are found on the knife, and Gemma objects to Linda's offer to pay for Joseph to go to Oakhill.
In the Kabin, we celebrate Ryan Thomas' win on Dancing On Ice and find out what Colson Smith's been up to in the Big Brother House this week, then finish off the show with a bit of listener feedback.

Vicky Myers Interview
Friday Mar 15, 2024
Friday Mar 15, 2024
She's no stranger to the interview room at Weatherfield Police Station, but now it's time for Vicky Myers to answer some of our questions! For this week's bonus podcast, we chat to the actress behind fan favourite character DS Swain, who Corrie have recently announced has been made a full-time cast member. Vicky shares her hopes for Swain now that we're going to be learning more about her character, reveals some anecdotes about her favourite Swain moments so far, and tells us which Corrie villain of the past she wishes she'd had the chance to put in handcuffs!

Saturday Mar 09, 2024
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 4th and the 8th March (Episodes #11204 - 11209).
The bullying story continued in earnest this week, with Dylan facing the consequences of his involvement with Mason - who, meanwhile, looks set to walk away from the whole debacle scot free! Meanwhile, Corrie's efforts to ingratiate Bobby to the viewers hits a bit of a snag when they have him accusing everyone's favourite train obsessed cafe owner of being behind Lauren's mysterious disappearance. At least it looks like the rest of the Street is rallying behind Roy, but for how long? Also this week, Adam has yet another brush with death after he buts the brakes on Harvey's appeal, Fiz is back from Norwich and is looking for a promotion, and in the wake of his break up from Tracy, Steve is facd with one of the biggest decisions of his life... City or United?
The big Corrie news this week is that DS Swain is being promoted to a series regular. We consider what that could mean for the character, and throw out a few theories based on the tidbits we've been teased with. We round off the episode with more of your fantastic feedback.

A Tribute To Fred Elliott
Tuesday Mar 05, 2024
Tuesday Mar 05, 2024
For this week’s bonus podcast, we take a butcher’s at the life and loves of one of Corrie’s most beloved characters, Fred Elliott. He may have started off as a lecherous black pudding cheat, but twelve years later, he left the show a legend. In this two-hour discussion of the character’s highs and lows, we share our thoughts on our favourite Fred stories and why we consider him a modern Corrie icon.

Saturday Mar 02, 2024
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 26th February and the 1st March 2024 (Episodes #11198 - 11203).
The truth is out about Tommy and Tracy's affair, and it was only a matter of time before Steve found out - though we must admit, we weren't admitting that part to come so soon! The trouble is, how are we supposed to care about it if the characters themselves don't even seem to? Meanwhile, Jenny and Daisy have a close call this week as Carla comes close to stumbling upon the truth about them using her stolen money to buy the Rovers - and that's not even the half of Daisy's problems this week thanks to the publication of a certain salacious magazine article. Also this week, Dee-Dee does her best to move on from Joel, Bobby raises his concerns about Lauren's disappearance to the police, and Adam hits a snag with Harvey's appeal - we just hope for his sake he's got plenty of free minutes with his phone contract, what with all those calls to the prison he's making!
Quite a bit to go over in The Kabin this week, including a truly terrifying Coronation Street eBay listing and rumours that we're going to be seeing a certain Corrie redhead enter the Big Brother house next week. We also weigh in on the news that Hollyoaks is being cut to three episodes a week - no doubt it's terrible for everyone who's allegedly being made redundant, but could it lead to a better show, and would it work for Corrie? We round off the podcast with more of your feedback, including one reader's question about which recent episode of Corrie we'd show a first-time watcher.

Matt Milburn Interview
Tuesday Feb 27, 2024
Tuesday Feb 27, 2024
There's only one Tommy Orpington, and he's here on the podcast! This week, we were joined by actor Matt Milburn to talk about his time on the Street so far, from his early days as a guest character to his new story for 2024 which sees him come off the sidelines at last and onto the cobbles as a main player. We chat about what it's like to be involved in a steamy affair with Tracy Barlow, his lifelong love of Corrie and his brother Greg Wood, who we all know as villainous Rick Neelan!

Saturday Feb 24, 2024
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 19th and the 21st February (Episodes #11,194 - 11,197).
Corrie's erratic scheduling continues this week with only two episodes to discuss this time, but what a great pair they were! With the scales finally falling from Sean's eyes this week after reading some of Dylan's cruel messages to Liam, we were treated to some fantastic performances from Antony Cotton, but how long will Mason continue to avoid the finger of suspicion? Meanwhile, Sally pieces together the truth about Tracy and Tommy's affair in some brilliantly written and performed scenes - surely it's just a matter of time before Steve finds out now? Also this week, Leanne and Nick discuss wedding plans, Bobby discovers that Lauren has done a disappearing act and Dee-Dee is devastated when she discovers Joel's secret - but could there be more to come?
The top news this week of course is the death of beloved Corrie icon John Savident - so much so, that we actually open the episode with a short tribute to him rather than waiting 'til The Kabin (which itself is actually quite low on big stories this week, but we still manage to find a few stories to discuss!) We round off the show with more of your fabulous feedback.
